An 8 week follow on course online for those who have completed our level one introduction to Buddhism and learn to meditate courses. We will be exploring "The wheel of life". This classic image for Buddhists shows us the roots of our suffering as humans and the ways in which we can be freed from them. Together we will study the image in detail, hear short talks from members of the GBC teaching team and work in small groups to explore the questions that arise for us in relation to what we hear and see.
From 7pm -8.30pm, from Wednesday 16th September for 8 weeks. Booking is essential. Please arrange to arrive 10 minutes before so that you are ready to start at 7pm.
What about meditation? When we teach these courses in person we include Buddhist meditation practice, but due to the limitations of the online environment we will be focusing on introducing you to the Buddhist teachings. In order to benefit more fully from the course, please plan to refresh your learning of the two meditation practices through our online live-stream on YouTube channel on Thursdays at 7pm-8pm If that time doesn't work for you, then the videos of the current live-streams are found on the same YouTube channel, along with many other resources.
How do I book? In order to book, please book via this website by clicking add to basket and giving us your details. Any issues? Please email email@example.com. When you are registered we will email you the link to the zoom meeting ID.
Do I have to pay?You will have the opportunity to make a donation to continue to support the Glasgow Buddhist Centre to provide the priceless teachings for free to whoever wants them. Please give what you can. You can do this online via the donate link at the top of the page.
