Wednesday Lunchtime Drop In Meditation

From Wednesday 10th Jan 2018 to Wednesday 19th Dec 2018, 12.30pm

This popular lunchtime class is designed for anyone working or living locally. Take half an hour out of your weekly routine to refresh your body and mind with meditation.  This class is suitable for experienced meditators and also those with no prior experience of sitting meditation. It runs from 12.30 -1pm.

Please note that as this class is only 30 mins long any instruction will be brief and minimal. For a fuller introduction to meditation please see our Thursday Morning Drop In.

There is no fee for the course. All our meditation and Buddhism events have no charge.

Essentials of Buddhism Level 2

This course is only suitable for those who have completed a Level One Essentials of Buddhism course.

The next course is looking at the wheel of life and it begins on the 17 January.

Each course comprises six weeks and concludes with a day retreat on the Sunday after the last session. For this course the day retreat is on Sunday 25th Feb from 10.30 - 4.30pm. (Please bring vegetarian food for our shared lunch on the day retreat.)

Thursday Drop In Meditation

This weekly meditation drop-in is suitable for complete beginners, and also those with some experience of the mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana (development of loving kindness) meditations.

Tuesday Dharma Night

This is a new initiative we are starting in 2018, which is an evening for the Sangha to come together and hear/practice the Dharma together. Inviting all Mitras and Order members, as well as all those who have taken all the Wednesday night Level 2 courses.

Our first 6 week session will look at the Tiratanavandana, a traditional salutation to the Three Jewels, beginning on Tuesday 16th January. The team is Maitrinaga, Abhayavaca and Dassini. We will have 2 evenings on the Buddha, 2 on the Dharma and 2 on the Sangha. Come for all six evenings or drop-in on any night.
