Persephone Rising: A performance at the Glasgow Buddhist Centre

There was a meadow; there was a girl . . . . 

Songs and Narrative written and performaed by Taradakini and Jinavamsa; based on the myth of Persephone.

A story of Innocence and Experience.

A young girl abducted from the meadow of innocence, becomes the Queen of the underworld and re-emerges as spring. 

6pm for soup, performance starts at 7pm (until approximately 8:30pm) 

There is no charge for this event. All donations will go to The Abhayaratna Trust. This charity was started in 2008 to relieve financial hardship among members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, particularly in the face of sickness, old age or disability.
