Essentials of Buddhist Meditation, a six week mornings course
starts Tuesday 30th April, 10am-12noon
A structured introduction to meditation, posture, setting up a practice, balancing effort and relaxation. Participants will gain a practical ability in the two foundation meditation practices, the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana (development of loving kindness).
Meditation can produce many benefits, from reducing stress and improving quality of life, to accessing clearer states of mind and positive emotions such as love and compassion.
Each course comprises six weeks and concludes with an optional day retreat after the last session. For this course the day retreat (DATE TBA) from 10.30 - 4.30pm. (Please bring vegetarian food for our shared lunch on the day retreat.)
